How We Compare Key West Sunset Cruises
Eleven sunset cruises leave Key West in the last hour of daylight, all of them advertised as the best evening on the water. This site records what each listing actually offers, sets the results side by side, and says plainly how the money works.
Who Is Behind These Pages
There is no byline here, and that is deliberate. Nothing on this site claims anyone sailed, rode, tasted or visited anything, so you are not reading a memory dressed up as research. The work is plainer: open the live booking page for each of the 11 listed sunset departures, record what it includes, from the bar to the boarding point, and publish the comparison.
This site is a publisher, not an operator. It runs no boats, sells nothing, takes no payment and cannot change, cancel or refund a booking. Booking happens on the operator's listing on GetYourGuide or Viator, which also holds your confirmation, boarding details and cancellation terms. Four categories cover the lineup: 4 catamaran sails, 3 schooner and tall ship cruises, 2 dinner and sushi cruises, and 2 tiki and booze cruises, run by nine operators from Sebago Watersports to Hula Hank's.
How The 11 Boats Were Picked
The inclusion rules are strict and applied one listing at a time:
- Real evening departures from Key West. Only genuine sunset cruises sailing out of Key West qualify.
- Bookable now by an individual. If you cannot book a seat yourself on a live page, it does not appear.
- One listing per vessel. Each boat appears once, under its stronger listing.
- No padded sunsets. Daytime snorkel trips with a sunset added were read and dropped.
- No reseller duplicates. A copy of a boat already listed never sits in a grid disguised as a second evening.
That leaves the 11 listings across the four categories. Trips that failed the rules would have earned the same commission as the ones that stayed, so money played no part in the cut.
Where Each Number Comes From
Every figure on this site comes from the live booking listing: the star rating, the review count, the duration, the departure point, the operator's name, the from-price. Ratings and review counts are each platform's own published figure and are never pooled across platforms, and small samples are labelled as small rather than left to carry weight they have not earned. Sunset times come from a published 2026 Key West calendar, and boarding windows come from what operators state on their listings, usually 30 to 60 minutes before departure.
| Listings tracked | 11 sunset cruises in 4 categories |
|---|---|
| Operators | 9, from Sebago Watersports to Hula Hank's |
| 2026 sunset range | About 5:38 pm in November to 8:20 pm in June |
| Boarding | Usually 30 to 60 minutes before departure |
| From-prices | Starting prices; the live listing is the authority |
A from-price deserves its own warning. It is a floor, not a quote: fares move with the date and the option you choose. The live listing is the only real authority on what your card will be charged.
Rules That Do Not Bend
Never pool or flatter a number. Ratings and review counts are copied exactly from each platform's own listing and never combined across platforms. Hula Hank's seven reviews, the sushi cruise's one and the booze cruise's 16 at a 3.9 are printed as they stand, sample size included.
Never list a boat twice. Several of these trips are sold on more than one platform, each with its own listing and review count. Each vessel appears once, under its stronger listing, and its twin never returns as a second card.
Never bury the conditions. Cancellation terms, age limits and what the bar covers belong to each operator's listing, quoted per boat and never generalised across the lineup.
Where The Money Comes From
The booking links on this site are affiliate links to operator listings on GetYourGuide and Viator. Book through one and the platform pays this site a commission; you pay the same price you would pay arriving there directly. The hotel "Check rates" buttons on the homepage are affiliate links to Expedia through the Travelpayouts network, and the room price is unchanged. No operator can pay for a place or a higher position: order on the category pages follows review counts, not payout. The full mechanics are on the affiliate disclosure page.
Skipping the links costs this site its commission and costs you nothing. Every operator named here can be booked directly, and the comparisons and guides read the same either way.

Good reasons to write:
- Something changed. A dock, departure time or price that has shifted since it was listed.
- You run a boat. An operator who wants a listing corrected, with the live listing attached.
- Something is missing. A real sunset cruise with a live booking page that never made it onto the site.
- Anything that looks wrong. That above all.
What this site cannot do: touch a reservation. It cannot move a date, swap a boat, cancel a seat or refund a payment. For anything tied to a booking you already hold, start with the confirmation email from the platform or the operator. It carries your reference, the check-in window, the dock where the crew expects you, and a direct line to the operator, which answers a same-day question far faster than this inbox can.
Still weighing the options? The category pages sort all 11 trips, and the guides walk through the choices the cards cannot make for you.
