Privacy policy

This site compares Key West sunset cruises, and that is all it does. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment boxes and no checkout, so there is very little data to talk about in the first place.

Data we gather

Once switched on, an analytics tool records aggregate visit data: which pages were read, roughly where the visit came from, what type of device was used, and which tour links were clicked. The click data is the part we care about, because it tells us whether a comparison between, say, the Schooner America 2.0 and a Fury catamaran actually helped someone choose. It shows whether a page is useful. It does not identify anyone. We hold no names, no email addresses and no payment details, because we never ask for them and have nothing to sell you.

Cookies plus outside widgets

The analytics tool sets its own cookies. Any cruise footage on the site loads from a privacy-enhanced video domain, so no tracking cookie is placed until you press play, and any harbor or marina map is an embed that pulls in the map provider's own resources when the page renders.

When you click through to a boat's listing, the booking platform sets its own affiliate cookie so that a booking can be credited back to this site. Those cookies belong to the platform and fall under its privacy policy rather than this one. The affiliate disclosure names which platforms are involved and explains the arrangement.

Things we avoid

• Trade visitor data to third parties.
• Operate ad networks, tracking pixels or cross-site advertising cookies.
• Collect email addresses. No newsletter exists and no accounts can be made.
• Handle money or reservations. Payments and bookings happen on each operator's own booking page, not on this site.
• Offer a form for messages. The contact page is a simple mailto link, which means any note you send goes directly from your mail program to us and through no other service.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts this site and keeps routine server logs, with IP addresses recorded for security and to block abuse. Those logs are never searched in an effort to profile or identify who reads these pages.

Your choices

Browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker or a Do Not Track setting will each stop the analytics script, and nothing here breaks when they do. Every page works with JavaScript disabled apart from the mobile menu. If you would rather leave no affiliate cookie at all, the disclosure page explains how to reach the same operators directly.
